This Privacy Policy explains how BillIn (“BillIn”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our GST billing application and website at dhandapani.in and the BillIn mobile app (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated as you use the Service:

Account details — your name, email address, phone number, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
Business details — business name, GSTIN, PAN, address, contact details, bank account / UPI details, and logo you add for invoicing.
Records you create — customers, products, invoices, estimates, expenses, purchase orders, and payments you enter.
Payment information — when you collect payments via Razorpay, payment is processed by Razorpay; we do not store full card or bank credentials.
Device & usage data — IP address, device/browser type, app version, and activity logs used for security and to operate the Service.
Push tokens — if you enable notifications, a device token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver alerts and reminders.

2. How we use your information

To provide the Service — create and share invoices, estimates, e-invoices (IRN/QR), and GST reports.
To process online payments through our payment partner and reconcile them against your invoices.
To send transactional messages, payment reminders, and notifications you opt into.
To provide customer support and to secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
To comply with applicable tax and other legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:

Razorpay — to create payment links and process payments you initiate.
GST e-invoice systems (NIC IRP / your GSP) — to generate IRNs and signed QR codes when you use e-Invoicing.
Email / SMS / push providers (e.g. Firebase Cloud Messaging) — to deliver invoices, reminders, and notifications.
Cloud hosting & infrastructure — to host the application and store your data securely.
Authorities — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

4. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as required to provide the Service and meet legal/tax record-keeping obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to retention required by law.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and optional two-factor authentication and app lock — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent for optional processing such as notifications. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.

7. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
